Master’s and PGD on Swallowing Disorders’ common modules will be completed at the end of July

42 students from all over the world will be finishing all common areas of the Postgraduate Diploma and Masters Degree on Swallowing Disorders consisting in 7 Modules that cover from the bases of swallowind disorders to treatment, applied research and multidisciplinary team work.

This edition held on 2021-2022 has had a total of 42 students from different nationalities and backgrounds: 10 students enrolled in the Postgraduate Diploma from Chile, Brazil, Finland, Perú, Portugal, Spain and Turkey, and 32 students from Chile, Colombia, Italy, Iran, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and Turkey of the Master’s Degree that will continue until November with the completion of the Master’s Final Project, research projects based on oropharyngeal dysphagia that they carry out with help of supervisors of the courses.

Both courses started in October 2021, being the third edition of the Master’s Degree and the sixth of the Postgraduate Diploma. Both courses are part of the Swallowing Disorders programme, offered by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in collaboration with the Fundació Salut Consorci Sanitari del Maresme, which started in 2016 with the first edition of the Postgraduate Diploma.

The main objetives of the Swallowing Disorders programme are: to spread knowledge of dysphagia amongst healthcare professionals from all over the world and to train multidisciplinary professionals in the promotion of the recognition of dysphagia for the design and application of preventive and corrective techniques.

Next edition 2022-2023 will start in October 2022. Pre-registration period is still open until 15 August. To access the pre-registration process, applicants must fill in the registration form available on the official website of the courses (www.dysphagiamasters.org) and send by email the required documents specified to the email address: office@dysphagiamasters.org
